Cover Letter | Sending Entries | Important Information

Dear Music Director,

Please take the time to read this letter in its entirety. Increased technology has created increased possibilities for mistakes!

The 2008 OMEA District IV Junior High Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Event will be held at North Ridgeville High School on Saturday, February 16th, 2008. The dark blue 11th edition of the Required Music for Senior High School is the correct list. This necessitates the purchase of a NEW Data Entry Program.

If you purchased the updated data entry program last year, please check the website for updates. Be sure you have the green 14th edition of the R&R Handbook. This information is on page 96 of the September/October 2007 Triad and can be ordered from John Purdy

Directors teaching in multiple districts or schools must send a separate entry and check for each school. All events from one school may be sent in a single entry or sent separately. The fee structure for High School Solo and Ensemble remains the same as last year. Solos are $13.00 and Ensembles are $17.00. Page 81 of the September/October “Triad” has this information.

All participating directors are required to be members of OMEA. A copy of your membership card must accompany the entries. Be sure you are familiar with the rules and regulations and that all music selected is from the current Contest Book.. All entries must be postmarked no later than SATURDAY, January 19, 2008. Entries postmarked after this date will be returned.
